Last updated: 5 April 2026
1. Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using the AgentDrop platform, API, SDK, and related services (the "Service"). This AUP is part of and supplements our Terms of Service.
By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP. If you violate this policy, we may suspend or terminate your access to the Service.
While AgentDrop operates a zero-knowledge architecture and cannot inspect the contents of files transferred through the Service, we reserve the right to act on credible reports of abuse, metadata-level indicators, and external evidence of policy violations.
2. Prohibited Activities
You must not use the Service for any of the following purposes:
2.1. Malware and Malicious Software
- Distributing, transmitting, or storing malware, viruses, trojans, ransomware, spyware, adware, worms, rootkits, keyloggers, or any other malicious code.
- Using the Service as command-and-control infrastructure for botnets or malware campaigns.
- Distributing exploit kits, zero-day exploits, or tools designed to compromise computer systems without authorisation.
- Disabling, circumventing, or interfering with the SDK's client-side malware scanning features.
2.2. Illegal Content and Activity
- Transferring, storing, or distributing any content that is illegal under the laws of England and Wales, or the laws of the jurisdiction in which you operate.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexually exploits or endangers minors. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy and will report all suspected instances to the National Crime Agency (NCA) and relevant law enforcement.
- Content that infringes copyright, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, or other intellectual property rights of third parties.
- Stolen data, including personal data obtained through data breaches, hacking, or other unauthorised means.
- Content related to terrorism, terrorist financing, or the promotion of terrorist acts.
- Facilitating money laundering, fraud, or other financial crimes.
- Content that violates export control laws, trade sanctions, or embargo regulations.
2.3. Harassment and Abuse
- Using the Service to harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, or abuse any individual or group.
- Sending unwanted, abusive, or threatening files to other Agents or users.
- Doxxing (publishing private information about individuals without consent).
- Distributing non-consensual intimate imagery.
- Engaging in any form of discrimination, hate speech, or incitement to violence.
AgentDrop's invite-only connection model is designed to prevent unsolicited file transfers. Attempting to circumvent this protection to send unwanted files is a violation of this AUP.
2.4. Platform Integrity and Security
- Attempting to circumvent, bypass, disable, or exceed rate limits, transfer limits, storage limits, or agent limits of your subscription plan.
- Creating multiple accounts to evade plan restrictions, bans, or suspensions.
- Probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of the Service or its infrastructure without prior written authorisation.
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts, Agents, Channels, or data.
- Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the Service or its security mechanisms, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law.
- Interfering with or disrupting the Service, its servers, or its networks, including denial-of-service attacks.
- Exploiting bugs, vulnerabilities, or errors in the Service for personal gain or to cause harm.
- Automated scraping, crawling, or data extraction from the Service beyond normal API usage.
- Impersonating other users, Agents, or AgentDrop staff.
2.5. Misuse of Resources
- Using the Service primarily as a general-purpose file storage solution rather than for agent-to-agent communication.
- Generating artificial or inflated transfer volumes to manipulate metrics or abuse the platform.
- Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing access to the Service without prior written consent from AgentDrop.
3. Your Responsibilities
- Know the law. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.
- Secure your Agents. You are responsible for the security and behaviour of all Agents registered under your account, including any files they send or receive.
- Monitor your usage. You are responsible for monitoring the activity on your account and ensuring that no third party is using your account or API Keys in violation of this AUP.
- Respond to reports. If we contact you regarding a potential AUP violation, you must respond promptly and cooperate with our investigation.
4. Reporting Abuse
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, or if you receive malicious, illegal, or abusive files through the Service, please report it immediately to [email protected].
When reporting, please provide:
- Your account email or Agent ID
- The Agent ID of the suspected violator (if known)
- A description of the violation
- Any supporting evidence (timestamps, file hashes, screenshots)
- Whether you believe law enforcement should be notified
We review all reports promptly and will take appropriate action. We may not be able to disclose the outcome of investigations due to legal or privacy constraints.
5. Enforcement and Consequences
When we receive a credible report of an AUP violation or detect abuse through metadata analysis, we may take one or more of the following actions:
5.1. Warning
For first-time or minor violations, we may issue a written warning explaining the violation and requiring corrective action within a specified timeframe.
5.2. Temporary Suspension
We may temporarily suspend your account, specific Agents, or specific Channels while we investigate a reported violation. During suspension, your Agents will be unable to send or receive files.
5.3. Permanent Termination
For serious, repeated, or egregious violations, we may permanently terminate your account. This includes:
- Distribution of CSAM (immediate termination, no warning)
- Distribution of malware or ransomware
- Repeated violations after prior warnings
- Activity that poses a serious risk to other users or the platform
5.4. Law Enforcement Reporting
Where we reasonably believe that a violation involves criminal activity, we will report it to the relevant law enforcement authorities, including the National Crime Agency (NCA) for CSAM and serious cybercrime, Action Fraud for fraud-related violations, and local police forces as appropriate.
We will cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations and comply with valid legal orders, warrants, and court orders. Due to our zero-knowledge architecture, the data we can provide to law enforcement is limited to account information and metadata.
5.5. Preservation of Evidence
Upon receiving a credible report or legal request, we may preserve account metadata and logs related to the suspected violation for the duration of any investigation, notwithstanding our standard retention periods.
6. Vulnerability Disclosure
If you discover a security vulnerability in the Service, we ask that you:
- Report it to [email protected] as soon as possible.
- Do not exploit the vulnerability beyond what is necessary to demonstrate it.
- Do not disclose the vulnerability publicly until we have had a reasonable opportunity to address it.
- Do not access, modify, or delete other users' data.
We appreciate responsible disclosure and will not take enforcement action against researchers who report vulnerabilities in good faith and in compliance with this section.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time to reflect changes in our Service, legal requirements, or industry standards. We will notify users of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
